Volunteers urgently needed
for duties including
- Vacuuming and general cleaning the CIC once a week
- Cleaning the facilities of the CIC once a week
- Arrangement of furniture for events in the Great Hall (about 5 or 6 people needed per event)
- Islamic event and festival manager
- Data entry books in the library
- Data entry for the slides
- Membership recruitment and follow up
- General census of Muslims in the region
- Registration of donations
- Contact for embassies and official organisations
- Teachers for Sunday school for Arabic language and religion
- Establishment of a lending library
- Sorting out audio visual material
- Sorting out duplicates in book and audio visual materials
- Management of loans and audio visual materials
- Monitoring of audio visual materials
- Designing an educational system using available slides
- Collection from other organisations of audio visual materials
- Collection from organisations of books
- Management of Quran translations exchange between organisations and individuals
Any effort in volunteering will be greatly appreciated. Volunteer occasionally, or more frequently, but do volunteer. The Canberra Islamic Centre and the Islamic community needs your help to better serve the community.
